CMT Talent Makes Multi-City Fancy Nancy Tour Extraordinary

The Gelfand Group, a marketing events and promotions company, was charged with creating an eight city tour to promote the new publication of Fancy Nancy Explorer Extraordinaire—the next book in the well known children’s series. The tour was held at major bookstores around the country. Gelfand provided the script, props and costume, but wanted a dynamic actress to portray Mrs. Devine, a character from Fancy Nancy, to host each event.

Finding Great Talent is Child’s Play for CMT

With a broad global talent pool from which to choose, CMT found the ideal actresses in each city to meet Gelfand’s requirements for age, appearance, and acting ability. “Finding great talent is our sweet spot,” said Shelly Justice, president and CEO of CMT. “Not only could we meet the client’s specifications for Mrs. Devine, we could deliver fantastic talent in every city of the tour.”

The CMT actresses hosted the event in full costume, handled props and specialty items, and read the entire book to the children and parents in attendance with true theatrical flair. With CMT’s specialty talent, each event mirrored the last and the book tour was a complete success.
